A resident of Hewlett, New York was left puzzled after the sky started flickering and changing colours on October 31.<br /><br />Steven Heimowitz told Newsflare: "I was taken off guard, more than anything else. It was the middle of the night, and here the sky was as bright as day! <br /><br />"My first thought was something had gone very, very wrong. It turns out, though, that it was a transformer station bursting. They say everything will be okay.<br /><br />"Walking the streets immediately afterwards was eerie. There were a cadre of police cars racing towards Hewlett and the electrical wires overhead were loudly buzzing with noise.<br /><br />"I asked a PSEG guy and a policeman if they knew what it was and both told me it was an electrical shortage."
