The Pentagon has confirmed that South Korea and the U.S. are proceeding with their joint wintertime exercise as planned.<br />In an email to Voice of America on Monday...., Pentagon Spokesman Dave Eastburn said,... the two sides are proceeding with the "Combined Flying Training Event" as scheduled.<br />He didn't elaborate on whether the allies are still going ahead with the wintertime "==" air exercise... that usually takes place around December.<br />South Korean media had widely reported that the two sides are looking at postponing or scaling down that exercise to try revive dialogue with North Korea.<br />Seoul's defense ministry said,... it's working closely with the U.S. to finalize plans for it.<br />The exercise was postponed last year to avoid provoking North Korea.<br />
