South Korean south paw Ryu Hyun-jin has been named among the finalists for the 2019 National League Cy Young Award, which honors the MLB's best pitchers.<br />His nomination comes after a highly impressive season for the LA Dodgers.<br />In 29 starts, he went 14-and-5,... allowing an average two-point-three-two earned runs,... the lowest in the MLB.<br />Other names in the mix are New York Mets' righty Jacob deGrom and Washington Nationals' ace Max Scherzer.<br />If Ryu wins, he will be the ninth Dodger and the first South Korean to do so.<br />The winner will be announced next Thursday.<br />
