South Korea's parliamentary speaker held a special lecture at Japan's Waseda University and touched on bilateral issues.<br />He proposed that the two countries combine voluntary efforts, involving citizens and companies from both sides to fund the compensation of wartime forced laborers.<br />Moon also suggested the use of a 5-point-2 million U.S. dollar fund that's left from the 1 billion yen Japan provided to South Korea's Reconciliation and Healing Foundation in 2015... to compensate victims of Japan's wartime atrocities.<br />The Speaker emphasized that the South Korean parliament will work to make such options possible through legislative efforts, while urging Tokyo's participation.<br />
