Data show these days the vast majority of Korea's biggest companies are run by professional business managers... rather than family owners like in the past.<br />According to a study by CEO Score, professional managers are in charge of 83 percent of the country's top 500 companies.<br />The figure has been rising steadily in the period studied, since 2012 when it was at 77 percent.<br />A little under half of the CEOs were recruited from within their companies.<br />For those scouted from outside, the most popular source for them was Samsung... at 15-and-a-half percent.<br />
