Colin Kaepernick Spends 32nd<br />Birthday Helping the Homeless.<br />On Nov. 3, former NFL star Colin Kaepernick teamed up<br />with his Know Your Rights Camp to provide aid to the<br />homeless population in Oakland, California.<br />Kaepernick spent time handing out provision-filled <br />backpacks and other personal necessities. .<br />According to the ‘San Francisco Chronicle,’ <br />he also brought in a food truck.<br />This is not the first time Kaepernick has<br />chosen to spend his birthday helping others.<br />In 2016, Kaepernick hosted the first Know Your<br />Rights Camp event on Nov. 3, speaking to children<br />in Oakland about their rights as American citizens. .<br />As described on his foundation’s site, Kaepernick<br />hopes to encourage “self-empowerment” and<br />“liberation” in communities across the country. .<br />Our mission is to advance the liberation and<br />well-being of Black and Brown communities<br />through education, self-empowerment,<br />mass-mobilization and the creation of<br />new systems that elevate the next<br />generation of change leaders, Via Know Your Rights Camp
