Ellen DeGeneres and Sandra Bullock File<br />Joint Lawsuit Over Fake Endorsements.<br />Ellen DeGeneres and Sandra Bullock recently joined forced in an<br />attempt to “expose the Celebrity Endorsement Theft Industry.”.<br />They are reportedly seeking an injunction<br />and compensatory damage on the grounds<br />of false advertising and unfair competition.<br />According to the ’Hollywood Reporter,’ the duo’s<br />complaint is specifically against fake affiliate<br />marketers that use their likeness to sell products. .<br />DeGeneres and Bullock claim<br />that their names and images are<br />being used to endorse products<br />without their authorization.<br />Publications on the fake media sites<br />feature comments and endorsements<br />purportedly from Bullock and DeGeneres<br />— all of which are fake and fraudulent and<br />published without Plaintiffs' consent, via ‘Hollywood Reporter’.<br />They believe they are specifically being used in<br />these marketing scams because of their “unimpeachable<br />reputation[s] for honesty” and “youthful” looks. .<br />Because of their age, their unimpeachable<br />reputation for honesty and having worked<br />hard at maintaining a healthy and youthful<br />look, which con artists believe will attract<br />and dupe unwitting customers, via ‘Today’.<br />Fake endorsements such as these have reportedly<br />cost victims more than $1.3 billion in the last<br />decade, according to the Better Business Bureau
