South Korea has announced its first female two-star general.<br />Kan Sun-young has been promoted to Major General in a regular reshuffle and will lead the Army's Aviation Operations Command, which is in charge of the Army's helicopter unit.<br />Major General Kang expressed gratitude, vowing to continue to serve her country.<br />Two other female officers, Colonel Kim Joo-hee and Colonel Jeong Eui-sook were also promoted to one-star generals.<br />
