나루히토 일왕 즉위 기념 카퍼레이드에 11만9천명 운집<br /><br />During a rare open-top car imperial parade on Sunday, tens of thousands of flag-waving people welcomed Japan's new Emperor Naruhito.<br />The Emperor in formal Western clothing and the Empress dressed in a long cream gown and jacket and of course a tiara rode through central Tokyo for 30 minutes on a 4-point-6 kilometer car parade.<br />Some in the crowd even camped overnight to watch the royal moment.<br />Naruhito acceded to the throne in May after his father, Akihito, became the first monarch to abdicate in two centuries. <br />The parade was originally set to take place on October 22nd when Naruhito officially proclaimed his enthronement, but it was postponed after the country faced a devastating typhoon last month. <br />
