President Moon Jae-in, marking the start of the second half of his term, said today that the fate of the Korean Peninsula depends on peace, and that hurdles remain in the peace process.<br />Here's the president.<br />"We have no other choice. We will not give up in our efforts for peace until the dawn of a new Korean Peninsula of peace and prosperity."<br />He went on to say that the country faces a grave historic challenge in eliminating the danger of war and building a new order on the Peninsula through dialogue.<br />But, he warned, its too early to be optimistic.<br />Looking ahead to the remaining two-and-a-half years, the president said, will be critical for the people and the country.<br />And he pledged continued efforts to foster innovative and inclusive growth while improving fairness throughout society.<br />
