The wild elephant at Rangjuli Forest Reserve under Goalpara District is suspected to be in the condition of musth where it remains in an aggressive state because of a surge in testosterone level since past couple of weeks was finally tranquilized by the Forest Department to prevent further loss of human lives in the area. <br />Notably, State Forest Minister Parimal Suklabaidya earlier gave his nod after an eight-member committee submitted a detailed report on the issue. <br />As per reports, the Forest Department will now translocate the wild jumbo to a suitable location which has claimed 5 human lives on October 29, 2019.<br />So far the wild jumbo had claimed at least 55 human lives in Goalpara District since past 3 years.<br />
