This is the heartwarming moment a stray kitten was rescued after getting trapped in a flooded storm drain.<br /><br />Residents heard the feline crying for help after heavy rain in Bulacan, the Philippines, on October 30.<br /><br />Ger Pangilinan said he heard the faint meows and asked his daughter to help find the kitten.<br /><br />They found the kitten clinging on for its life after getting tangled up in loose branches.<br /><br />Ger believes the poor kitten must have wandered far from its mother and fell down the steep slopes before getting carried away by the water.<br /><br />The father-of-one said he took the cat home to clean and feed him.<br /><br />He said: ''The kitty was not harmed and once he was cleaned, he looked healthy. We named him 'Mingming'."<br /><br />"My daughter is happy to have a new pet. She has always been kind to animals and will take care of Mingming.''
