A stranded blue whale on Yapen Island has died after a rescue operation to remove it from the shore failed.<br /><br />The 12-metre-long mammal was found stranded on November 4 with numerous injuries to several parts of your body.<br /><br />This footage of the whale carcass was filmed on November 5.
