Paramount Debuts Redesigned
Trailer for ‘Sonic the Hedgehog’.
On Nov. 12, Paramount Pictures released a new
trailer for their upcoming ‘Sonic the Hedgehog’
movie, featuring a new version of Sonic. .
Their decision to drastically change the CGI
character was due to the widespread backlash
the character received earlier this year. .
In the original trailer, fans found Sonic’s body
proportion and facial features to be too life-like
and inconsistent with the classic Sonic character.
Now, fans seem to be much happier with the redesigned
Sonic, as his eyes are bigger, his body is shorter and the
overall features are much more cartoon-like. .
Following the latest trailer release, director Jeff Fowler took
to Twitter to thank fans for their “patience and support.”.
"Today is the DAY! Could not be more excited to share our
new Sonic with you. THANK YOU for your patience and support.
This wouldn't have been possible without the fans."
Jeff Fowler, via Twitter.
‘Sonic the Hedgehog’ is set to hit
theaters on February 14, 2020.
