John Legend Named 2019's <br />Sexiest Man Alive by 'People'.<br />On Nov 12, ‘People’ revealed<br />Legend to be the winner<br />of the magazine’s annual<br />sexiest man alive title. .<br />He is the 34th person to be awarded the title,<br />which started in 1985 with Mel Gibson and<br />was most recently held by Idris Elba in 2018. .<br />Following the news, Legend took to Twitter<br />to say he was “perplexed,” but thankful. .<br />“1995 John would be very perplexed to be following 2018 @IdrisElba<br />as #SexiestManAlive. Hell, 2019 John is about as equally perplexed<br />but thank you @People for finding me sexy. I'll take it.”<br />John Legend, via Twitter.<br />His wife, Chrissy Teigen, also celebrated the<br />news, changing her Twitter bio to read “currently<br />sleeping with people’s sexiest man alive.”.<br />In a separate interview, Legend confessed that<br />it was “a lot of pressure,” as people would be<br />“picking [him] apart” now that he held the title. .<br />“I was excited, but I was a little scared at the same time<br />because it’s a lot of pressure … Everyone’s going to be<br />picking me apart to see if I’m sexy enough to hold this title.”<br />John Legend, to ‘People’
