Facebook Bug Causes Users' Cameras <br />to Activate as They Scroll .<br />Facebook has recently come<br />under fire after the discovery<br />of a bug in their iOS app. .<br />The bug, which has since been confirmed<br />by Facebook, exposes a user’s camera<br />as they scroll through their Facebook feed. .<br />According to Guy Rosen, Facebook's Vice<br />President of Integrity, the bug is an "inadvertent"<br />result of an update made by Facebook on Nov. 8.<br />In fixing that issue last week in v246 — launched on November 8th — we inadvertently introduced a bug that caused the app to partially navigate to the<br />camera screen adjacent to News Feed when users tapped on photos.<br />Guy Rosen, Facebook's Vice President of Integrity, via Twitter.<br />To be affected, users must have previously<br />granted the Facebook app access to their<br />device's camera and microphone.<br />They must also be running <br />the latest software, iOS 13. .<br />There is reportedly "no evidence” that<br />the bug is causing captured photos or<br />videos to be uploaded to the internet.
