The campaign in Tanjung Piai just got a whole lot hotter, after BN candidate Wee Jeck Seng decided to go after Dr Mahathit Mohamd on social media, in what appears to be a move to secure votes from the Chinese community.<br /><br />In a post on Facebook in Mandarin, Wee questioned if voters want to see the implementation of Jawi khat, and events like Himpunan Maruah Melayu take place. Wee said a vote for Harapan would mean support for those things.<br />Wee then urged people to use their vote to reject Dr Mahathir, and Bersatu, which he also labeled as racist.<br /><br />He added that the by-election will not change the government, but it will be an assessment of Dr Mahathir's performance.
