Election Commission chairman Datuk Azhar Azizan Harun clarified on Friday that the police permit ruling had been introduced on the first day of the Tanjung Piai by-election and received no objections from the candidates.<br /><br />He also condemned those who were spreading lies on the matter. Azhar visited the commission’s vote tallying centre in Pontian, Johor ahead of Saturday’s polling day.
