This is the moment a zoo treated its elephants to a two-tonne fruit buffet after the birth of a new baby.<br /><br />The youngster, named Kaimook, was born on Tuesday (November 12) morning in Chonburi, eastern Thailand.<br /><br />Within a day it had worked up an appetite and was given watermelons, pineapples, carrots and cucumbers. <br /><br />The food was laid out on tables for several older elephants at the zoo to also eat yesterday (November 13) morning. <br /><br />Zoo owner Pathumma Kokiathimanon said the ceremony was to celebrate the elephant's healthy birth.<br /><br />She said: "This was to welcome our newborn elephant, Kaimook, who arrived healthy in the morning. We hope that he will be blessed and live a long life.''
