Chick-fil-A to Stop Donating<br />to Anti-LGBTQ Organizations.<br />On Nov. 18, Chick-fil-A announced<br />their decision to cease donations<br />to two anti-lgbtq organizations.<br />The Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) and the Salvation<br />Army, who Chick-fil-a donated $1.65 million and $115,000<br />to respectively in 2018, are no longer on their charity list. .<br />Instead, Chick-fil-A says they will work<br />exclusively with organizations that are focused<br />on education, homelessness and hunger. .<br />In place of the anti-LGBTQ organizations are now<br />Covenant House International and Junior Achievement USA.<br />Chick-fil-a will also reportedly<br />donate $25,000 to local food banks. .<br />The Salvation Army has since responded to the<br />news, saying they were “saddened” by the decision,<br />strongly refuting the claims that they are anti-LGBTQ.<br />"We're saddened to learn that a corporate partner has felt it necessary to<br />divert funding ... [to] areas in which the Salvation Army, as the largest <br />social services provider in the world, is already fully committed."<br />- Salvation Army, via statement.<br />The FCA, who’s website clearly states that<br />marriage is exclusively between a man and a<br />woman, has yet to comment on the situation.
