South Korea will invest roughly four-point-two billion U.S. dollars to expand Incheon International Airport by 2024 to meet increasing demand.<br />The transport ministry says a groundbreaking ceremony will be held this afternoon.<br />Investments will be made gradually over the next five years to construct a fourth runway, expand Terminal 2 and build other facilities.<br />When construction is complete, the airport's capacity is expected to reach over 106 million passengers a year with each terminal able to manage over 50 million each.<br />Once complete, Incheon International Airport will be the third biggest airport by passenger capacity, following the international airports in Dubai and Istanbul.<br />
