South Korea's Defense Minister Jeong Kyeong-doo has embarked on a trip to Saudi Arabia to boost bilateral defense cooperation with the kingdom.<br />It's his first official visit to the country since becoming defense chief in September 2018.<br />The trip is in response to Riyadh's invitation... following Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman's visit to South Korea in June... the first by a Saudi Crown Prince in 21 years.<br />Jeong recently attended Saudi Arabia's 89th Anniversary of the National Day of the Kingdom... which was held in Seoul in September... and met the country's ambassador to South Korea.<br />Jeong returns to South Korea on Saturday.<br />
