Typhoon Kalmaegi brought strong winds and huge waves to the province of Cagayan, Philippines where it is set to make landfall later on Tuesday (November 19).<br /><br />The rough weather has paralyzed the fishing industry in the area and brought families to evacuation centers.<br /><br />Earlier this month, typhoon Nakri has placed the Cagayan province under a state of calamity and relief operations are still ongoing.<br /><br />Kalmaegi is set to make landfall in Cagayan today. Some 5,000 people have been evacuated in northern Philippines ahead of the arrival of typhoon Kalmaegi.<br /><br />The typhoon was located at 7 a.m. on Tuesday 110 km east of the town of Calayan in Cagayan.
