Various types of potatoes are grown hanging from a greenhouse ceiling at an agricultural technology demonstration centre in China rather than in soil.<br /><br />The interesting video, filmed in the city of Chengdu in Sichuan Province on November 17, shows the seed potatoes and sweet potatoes hanging from their roots growing in the air.<br /><br />According to the filmer named Yang, the "air potatoes" were seed potatoes which aren't grown for eating. The aeroponic technologies were used to cultivate the potatoes and sweet potatoes.<br /><br />Yang said the "air sweet potatoes" were edible but the main purpose of them was for visitors to enjoy the sight of them.
