Civil society groups and some MPs reiterated their call for a total repeal of the Security Offences (Special Measures) Act 2012 (Sosma) instead of making amendments to make the Act less "draconian". <br /><br />The civil society groups which include Suaram, Desak Sampai Mansuh, Society for the Promotion of Human Rights (Proham), National Human Rights Society (Hakam) and Bersih 2.0 will be presenting a memorandum to the Home Ministry on Thursday (Nov 21).<br /><br />On Oct 19, Muhyiddin said the Pakatan government will not abolish SOSMA but would instead amend it to remove some pf "draconian" provisions.
