Nicki Minaj to Receive Award<br />at Billboard's 2019 Women in Music Event.<br />According to ‘Vibe,’ Nicki Minaj<br />will be the recipient of the 2019<br />Game Changers Award at Billboard's 14th<br />annual Women in Music event. .<br />The award is reportedly in honor of Minaj’s impact<br />on the music industry as an influential female rapper. .<br />It is also in recognition of her success as one of<br />the first rappers to infuse pop and hip-hop while<br />performing headline shows around the world. .<br />Billboard’s Women in Music is an<br />annual opportunity for us to celebrate<br />influential women from across the industry<br />who are impacting both business and culture, Hannah Karp, Editorial Director<br />at ‘Billboard’, via ‘Vibe’.<br />Last year, Minaj became the first woman to appear<br />100 times on the ‘Billboard’ Hot 100 chart.<br />Hosted by singer Hayley Kiyoko, the 2019 Women<br />in Music event will premiere on Dec. 12 at 9 PM EST.
