Chadwick Boseman<br />Originally Auditioned for<br />'Guardians of the Galaxy'.<br />During a recent appearance on ‘The Tonight Show,’<br />Chadwick Boseman revealed that his first audition with<br />Marvel was for a role in ‘Guardians of the Galaxy.’.<br />Boseman apparently tried out for the role of<br />Drax, which later ended up going to Dave Bautista. .<br />I didn’t think I was gonna get it … And it’s<br />weird, too. It’s a testament to Marvel because…<br />Ant-Man has a different tone and feel, and<br />we didn’t know what that was gonna be. We<br />didn’t know what Guardians was gonna be, Chadwick Boseman, on 'The Tonight Show'.<br />The audition did end up benefiting Boseman<br />in the long run, as he believes it put him on track to<br />play Prince T’Challa in ‘Captain America: Civil War.’.<br />I only had a few pages [of the script] at that<br />time. So, it was just good to come in and play<br />to see what they did with it.
