Kim Hyun-chong's trip came amid Washington's pressure campaign on Seoul to retract its decision to end GSOMIA.<br />Reports say Kim met senior White House officials to explain Seoul's stance.<br />He also explained Seoul's position on the negotiations over the sharing of costs for the upkeep of American troops in South Korea.<br />Kim returned home on Wednesday... and is expected to brief President Moon on the outcome in the coming hours.<br />The results will also be discussed at today's National Security Council meeting.<br />
