Post 9/11 Wars Have Cost <br />the US $6.4 Trillion.<br />A new report says U.S. taxpayers have paid this amount for military presence around Asia and the Middle East.<br />The study comes from <br />Brown University's Watson Institute <br />of International and Public Affairs.<br />The $6.4 trillion is more than what the <br />U.S. federal government spent <br />during the last fiscal year.<br />By the time the fiscal year wrapped up at the end of September, the Treasury Department says $4.4 trillion <br />was used up.<br />The study's author, Neta Crawford, <br />says that 80 countries are involved <br />in wars that started after 9/11.<br />In terms of causalities, the report adds that the conflicts have resulted <br />in just over 800,000 deaths.<br />The wars have also led to <br />the displacement of over <br />21 million people worldwide
