Ephraim Sykes to Play <br />Michael Jackson on Broadway.<br />'MJ The Musical' is currently set <br />to premiere in August 2020.<br />It is being directed by<br />Tony winner Christopher Wheeldon.<br />The Michael Jackson Estate is <br />also on board to co-produce.<br />Although sexual abuse allegations <br />have left our culture divided regarding <br />the late Michael Jackson, Wheeldon <br />is excited to work on the project.<br />Ephraim Sykes is a bonafide triple threat, and dynamic rising star on Broadway. <br />I am honored to be <br />working with him on this <br />exciting new production, Christopher Wheeldon, via statement.<br />The jukebox musical's plot focuses on Jackson's life and includes <br />25 of his most famous songs.<br />The Tony-nominated Sykes has appeared in many popular Broadway shows over the past decade.<br />They include 'Hamilton,' 'Motown' and 'Ain’t Too Proud: The Life and Times of The Temptations.'.<br />On TV, he has appeared on <br />2016's 'Hairspray Live!,'<br />'30 Rock' and 'Smash.'
