Millions of Americans
will be hitting the road
for their Thanksgiving travel. According to 'Travel + Leisure' it's
a good idea to rely on Google Maps
to make the process more bearable. Though it may seem counterintuitive,
Google Maps recommends not travelling the day before Thanksgiving, with traffic peaking between 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. on Wednesday. According to Google,
early travel on Thanksgiving
is the least congested, especially
between 6 a.m. and noon. Getting home from the
holiday can also present
some traffic challenges.
Again, Google Maps recommends
travelers leave first thing in the morning,
with Sunday being the ideal day to get home. Google Maps also shows that
outlet malls on Black Friday reach
their peak traffic right around noon.
