10ft-long cobra snuggled underneath compartment of moving train is rescued in northern India

A 10-feet-long venomous snake that crawled up into the battery storage section of the compartment of a moving train was rescued in the north Indian state of Uttarakhand. <br /><br />The incident took place on Friday (November 22) at the Kathgodam railway station in Nainital district.<br /><br />Video shows two rescuers using snake tongs to pull out the cobra.<br /><br />According to the rescuers, some passengers had spotted the cobra sneaking underneath the train compartment and alerted he railway's authorities regarding the venomous reptile's presence in the long-distance express train.<br /><br />According to reports, the operation was conducted by a joint team consisting of personnel from the Uttarakhand Forest Department and the Railway Protection Force.<br /><br />The king cobra was later released in the forest.
