Toys 'R' Us Reopens Its First <br />New Store After Bankruptcy.<br />Toys 'R' Us closed the <br />doors of all its stores in <br />both the U.S. and U.K. in 2018.<br />Their new parent company, <br />Tru Kids, announced that the stores <br />would have a limited reopening in October.<br />Located in New Jersey, <br />the new store is one of two <br />slated to reopen in the U.S. in <br />time for holiday shopping.<br />Tru Kids CEO, Richard Barry, <br />says the new vision for the <br />stores is that they will be <br />"smaller" and "experiential.".<br />Former Toys 'R' Us customers <br />will recall the massive size of the <br />stores, often in excess of 40,000 ft.<br />We have an amazing number of digital experiences throughout the store, but we also have good old analog [experiences], Richard Barry, Tru Kids CEO, via Complex.<br />The other Toys 'R' Us location <br />will open in Houston in early Dec
