Leopard viciously leaps at rescue workers trying to save it in rural India

Rescue workers in east India trying to subdue a leopard were nearly mauled by the vicious predator, with one injured, in this amazing video. <br /><br />The leopard was spotted in the village of Rangdhamali, Jalpaiguri district, West Bengal on December 1, with villagers reporting it as soon as it was sighted. <br /><br />Forest workers of the Belaqaba Range reach the spot after a long effort, were able to capture the leopard in the forest. <br /><br />Footage shows the leopard having been tangled in a catcher from one of the vehicles, and the rangers beginning to get out of the jeep when the leopard rears up and attacks the door. <br /><br />In the rescue operation forest ranger Sanjay Dutt was wounded, but the leopard was successfully rescued and later released into the jungle farther away from inhabited areas.
