FBI Warns Smart TVs <br />May Be Spying on Owners.<br />The FBI issued a pre-holiday warning regarding the various security risks that could result from purchasing a smart TV.<br />At the low end of the risk spectrum, they can change channels, play with the volume, and show your kids inappropriate videos. In a worst-case scenario, they can turn on your bedroom TV's camera and microphone and silently cyberstalk you. , FBI, via warning.<br />Smart TVs equipped with internet streaming <br />and facial recognition capabilities are <br />particularly vulnerable to being hacked.<br />The FBI recommends owners educate <br />themselves about the device’s <br />security settings and learn how to <br />disable microphones and cameras.
