Tourists flocked to a mountain in northern Thailand to take in the view of a sea of mist and frozen hillsides as winter sets in.<br /><br />The breathtaking scene was captured in Chiang Mai, northern Thailand on Wednesday (December 3) morning.<br /><br />Temperatures dropped to 6C at the hilltop and caused a cool sea of mist to roll in, covering the city below.<br /><br />National park chief Kritsiam Kongstri said that besides the sea of mist, tourists had also been fascinated by the frozen leaves.<br /><br />He said: "Frozen leaves are a strange scene, which only happens for a short period every year when the temperatures fall.''
