A joint team comprising of officials from the forest department and the municipality in northern India rescued a baby antelope after it accidentally tripped and fell inside a roadside drain.<br /><br />The incident took place on December in Roorkee, in Haridwar district, Uttarakhand, when concerned locals found the lost nilgai and informed the forest department. <br /><br />Visuals show the antelope standing inside the drain as rescuers meticulously chalked the way out, at one point using a net to try and trap it and pull it free.<br /><br />Once the antelope was pulled out, the agitated animal tried to break free but was later subdued by the official and it was taken to a veterinary hospital for further medical examination.
