The video, filmed on Friday (December 6) from a commercial plane flying west shortly after takeoff from Sydney, shows the Australian bushfires at about 25,000 feet. <br /><br />The filmer told Newsflare: "A huge fire front has opened up in the Blue Mountains, just outside Sydney in New South Wales. <br /><br />"The bushfire smoke is causing severe smog and pollution in the Sydney basin, home to 5.5 million people."
