A shocking scene unfolded at an event in northern India's Uttar Pradesh where an incensed man shot at a woman's face after the woman decided to take a break from dancing on the stage.<br /><br />According to reports, the incident took place on December 1 in the state's Chitrakoot district. <br /><br />The visuals show the dance performance by two women when suddenly a man comes on to the stage and opens fire at the victim. <br /><br />Brandishing a gun, the man had warned the group of performers, sitting on the dais, before shooting the woman. <br /><br />The people sitting at the back watch in horror as the girl is suddenly shot. Her co-performer grabs her as she falls down in an unconscious state. <br /><br />According to the reports, the alleged perpetrator was inebriated. <br /><br />Reports also say that the girl was rushed to the hospital in the state's Kanpur city and is recuperating. <br /><br />The local police are investigating the matter.
