Dozens of locals flocked to a hot spring to warm themselves during the recent cold weather in northern Thailand.<br /><br />The visitors were filmed on December 10 at the natural phenomenon in Chiang Mai, northern Thailand, where temperatures have dropped in some parts to -1C.<br /><br />At least four residents in the north of the country have died from the cold snap caused by a high-pressure system from China.<br /><br />The hot spring manager Saraphee Sila said: ''Winter is the most popular time because people want to feel warmer. This is a very refreshing way to do it.''<br /><br />Krichsayam Khongsatree, head of Doi Inthanon National Park in Chiang Mai's Chom Thong district, said temperatures in the area had fallen to -1 degree Celsius while frost, stemming from the freezing air, covered flowers and leaves, exciting tourists.
