Articles of Impeachment Are Approved <br />by Party Line, House Committee Vote.<br />By a 23 to 17 vote, <br />the House Judiciary Committee <br />approved the charges against <br />President Donald Trump.<br />The two articles of impeachment include <br />abuse of power and obstruction of Congress.<br />The charges relate to Trump's alleged use of <br />office in order to pressure the government <br />of Ukraine to open an investigation into <br />former vice president Joe Biden and his son, Hunter.<br />Biden has emerged as the <br />leading contender for the <br />2020 Democratic presidential nomination.<br />The vote followed 14 hours of <br />highly partisan debate on Thursday.<br />The Democrat-controlled <br />House of Representatives is <br />expected to vote on the articles <br />of impeachment next week.<br />The articles will then move to the <br />Republican-controlled Senate for a vote.<br />In order for a president to <br />be removed from office, <br />both the House and Senate must <br />approve articles of impeachment
