US Implements 3-Digit <br />Suicide Hotline .<br />The Federal Communications Commissions (FCC) <br />approved the 988 dial-code on Thursday.<br />The hotline will provide <br />mental health support <br />and is intended to relieve <br />some pressure off the 911 line.<br />988 has an echo of the 911 number we all know as an emergency number. We believe that this three-digit number dedicated for this purpose will help ease access to crisis services. , FCC chairman Ajit Pai, via statement.<br />The FCC is requiring that all <br />telephone providers implement <br />the dial-code within 18 months.
