Hundreds of skaters dressed in red Santa outfits blocked roads in central London on Saturday.<br /><br />The so-called SantaSkate on 14 December was the latest of an annual event that is said to have begun in December 2004.<br /><br />Among other areas, they skated down Regent Street and Oxford Street -- two of the busiest streets in London -- on one of the busiest shopping weekends of the year.
