New Delhi, Dec 15 (ANI): Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury on Sunday said that the entire Northeast especially the Assam region has been engulfed in violence, adding that the state has become the new Kashmir. <br /><br />He said, “It is a matter of concern that the entire Northeast, especially the Assam region has been engulfed in violence. Assam is recognised as a strategically important place for the country. On one hand, it is Kashmir valley and on the other, the new Kashmir, Assam.” <br /><br />After the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2019 passed from both the houses, several incidents occurred in the Northeast.<br />
