Christmas came early to the animals at London Zoo on Monday morning (December 16), as the cuddly critters were gifted their annual festive presents by generous zookeepers. <br /><br />The zoo’s squirrel monkeys woke up to find a new Christmas climbing frame under the trees, decorated with edible gifts. <br /> <br />In Tiger Territory, Sumatran tiger Asim pounced on brightly wrapped presents filled with his favourite turkey wings, while the zoo’s ring-tailed lemurs found some hanging stockings, stuffed with veggie trimmings.<br /><br />Angela Ryan, Animal Operations Manager at ZSL London, explained the animals would be "tearing up their stockings and finding their treats."
