Activists dropped a banner reading "Borders Kill Remember The Essex 39" and released flares from Westminster Bridge in central London on Wednesday morning (December 18).<br /><br />Organisers said on Facebook the action is "to remember all who have died under the UK's border regime."<br /><br />The Essex 39 refers to the 39 Vietnamese migrants who were found dead in the back of a lorry in October.<br /><br />The banner drop coincides with International Migrants Day.
