Relief workers today (December 19) search through villages hit by severe floods after heavy rain in southern Thailand.<br /><br />The area was submerged in 4ft deep water by Wednesday (December 17) after it had been raining constantly for three days in Narathiwat province.<br /><br />Footage shows sheriff Trithip Sakulpradith taking rescue crews to visit the area to find any residents or animals stranded in the water.<br /><br />He said he needed to check the area thoroughly to ensure no one was left. <br /><br />He said: "The flood in this area was so bad, it almost covered whole houses in some places, so we need to check them again one by one."<br /><br />More than 8,000 households have been affected by the flood so far and 55 of them need to be evacuated from the area. There have no death was reported yet.
