Russian oil workman plummeted 23 feet before being crushed by a falling metal support, sickening video has shows.<br /><br />The 25-year-old driller was killed when he fell from a crane at an oil field in Saratov Oblast, Russia.<br />Reports said the victim, identified only as Viktor, worked as a driller assistant at the site.<br /><br />Footage captured the moment he began dismantling equipment as workers stood beneath.<br /><br />The crane suddenly collapses down, throwing the man seven metres (23 feet), to the lower floor.<br /><br />A workman was seen moving out of the way as a large metal cylinder falls from above.<br />The victim appears to be at the end of the metal support, where his body is then crushed when it slams against the side of a floor opening.<br /><br />The 25-year-old driller’s body then falls through the hole and lands hard on the ground. Stunned colleagues rush to take a look.<br /><br />Following a preliminary investigation, it is believed the workman died of a violation of safety regulations.<br /><br />Local authorities have stressed the full investigation is ongoing and any claims of negligence will be confirmed at a later date.<br />It comes after a workman was taken to hospital after reports he fell 60ft while erecting a roller coaster on a funfair in Stoke-on-Trent.<br />He was at the Winter Wonderland fairground off Lichfield Street, Hanley, when he plunged to the ground.<br /><br />Shocked shoppers saw the accident and one said the man was “screaming” on the floor.<br /><br />An air ambulance went to the scene, but the man went to hospital in a land ambulance.<br />
