Former Inspector-General of Police Tun Haniff Omar said the spotlight should be on Attorney-General Tan Sri Tommy Thomas to see if he will take action against individuals who had violated the Peace Agreement of Hat Yai 1989.<br /><br />Haniff added that members of the Communist Party of Malaya (CPM) who returned to Malaysia after the peace deal was signed had certain conditions imposed on them.<br /><br />Haniff said this in his speech during a “Gathering of National Warriors Against the Rise of Communist Ideology” event in Kuala Lumpur on Tuesday.
