Tan Sri Mohamed Apandi Ali has confirmed that he will be resigning from his post as Umno disciplinary board chairman.<br /><br />According to a Astro Awani report, Apandi made the decision to resign over the sudden postponement of the disciplinary proceeding against former Umno vice-president Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein.<br /><br />Earlier, supreme council member Datuk Lokman Noor Adam accused the party leadership of protecting Hishammuddin and said the disciplinary board should be able to carry out investigations independently.
